Hi Dolls!!!
I was so flattered when Kim asked me to do a guest post about water marble, it seriously made my day because I'm still pretty new to marbling! Anyways, today I would like to share with you a simple tutorial on how I marble my nails and hopefully it will help you all out!
I was so flattered when Kim asked me to do a guest post about water marble, it seriously made my day because I'm still pretty new to marbling! Anyways, today I would like to share with you a simple tutorial on how I marble my nails and hopefully it will help you all out!
I usually start out with a base color, and most the time its white, so I went ahead and added two coats of Color Club French Tip to my nails. You don't have to worry about messiness here because at the end you're gonna clean everything up anyways! When they are dry I tape off each nail individually. Now this is something I like to do, but my sister (another polish-aholic) thinks I'm CRAZY!!! She just dips her whole nail into the pot and gets paint on her fingers..I personally don't like that! too much to clean up!
Next set everything up. Get a cup and fill it with LUKEWARM water, you don't want hot or cold because the paint wont spread! Make sure all your caps are open to make it easier, and then have some toothpicks around!
Start adding drops of polish in your choice of order, watch each drop as it spreads, I've found it easier to wait til the polish has spread completely before adding a new drop, but you don't have to wait because they will all eventually spread.
Now take your toothpick and drag it across the polish in any design you like. This is totally up to you, do whatever you like!
Once you are satisfied slowly dip your finger in to the cup. Let your finger sit in the cup for about 20 seconds, and then pull your finger out :)
Contine these steps for all your nails and then clean up!
Add a top coat and viola!!! You're done!!
Well there you have it! Water marbling is pretty easy, you just havta have some patience for it! The colors that were used in this post are all from China Glaze and they are Dance Baby (pink), Peachy Keen (orange), Happy Go Lucky (yellow), and Gaga For Green (green)
I want to thank Kim so so soooo much for letting me do this. It was so much fun!!! THANK YOU!!!!
